Sharon Moore’s Work in Art, Music, and Storytelling

Creative Arts Outreach
Sharon Moore is passionate about sharing her message of fun and faith through a variety of creative arts. Writing poetry and children's books, painting scenes inspired by nature, and performing on her violin are all encompassed in her program entitled Sharon Moore Fun Creative Arts Outreach.
Children’s Books – Interactive Adventures
Sharon is the author of six picture books for children, as well as two books tailored for adult readers. Sharon’s children’s books offer much more than simple stories—they are designed as interactive adventures. In her book The Frog Pond, readers follow the entertaining misadventures of three little frogs named Herbie, Fergie, and Gerdie. This book provides children with valuable life lessons while engaging them in fun activities, such as the Froggy Hoedown and a special Froggy Cheer. Another book, If You Could Be Anything, includes a dedicated activity page at the end to reinforce the story and encourage participation.
Collaboration with Valeria Leonova
Sharon has collaborated with illustrator Valeria Leonova, working together remotely via the internet. Sharon discovered Valeria through a Facebook group dedicated to illustrated children’s books. At the start of their partnership, Valeria lived in Ukraine with her family, but due to the conflict there, she and her family relocated to England. Their latest joint project is the book If You Could Be Anything.
Personal Life
Sharon resides in Bloomington, Indiana, home to Indiana University. She is a lifelong fan of IU Basketball and enthusiastically supports the university’s football team’s recent success.
Family and Retirement
In retirement, Sharon enjoys spending more time with her family. She is grateful to have her big brother and twin sister living nearby. Sharon is also a wife, mother, and proud grandmother.
Expanding Her Creative Arts Outreach
Sharon Moore extends her creative arts outreach by presenting at schools, churches, and community events, where she shares stories, music, and art. Her interactive sessions actively engage audiences through demonstrations of artistic, musical, and storytelling techniques.

She also plays fiddle style locally, as a member of the country band 46 West. Her artistic talents are further showcased at The Pillar Art Alliance, a wonderful art gallery where her artwork and books are both displayed and available for purchase. Sharon remains dedicated to writing, and just before Christmas, she released two new books: a children’s book titled Flicker Flame in the Forest, and an enjoyable read for adults called The Message Behind The Movie.
